So last weekend was the West Region Track and Field meet at Cal State Northridge. I came into the meet ranked about 14th and I was seeded in a very competitive heat for the prelims ranked 4th. The race went really well and I ran a outdoor PR of 2:06.5 and won the heat qualifying me for the final the next day. So the next day I ran the final, I wasn't quite ready for how fast it would go off and ended up in last place after the first 200M, I tried to quickly move up and was sitting at 4th coming through the 400 mark. I held my position to finish 4th with a lifetime PR of 2:04.89 and got the automatic bid to nationals! It was the most amazing moment of my entire 12 year lon
g track career!!! James and his mom Sage were there to cheer me on and it was so great to have their support. Now I am preparing for Nationals in a week and a half in Des Moines, IA. Come cheer me on!
