This will be a giant post since i have sooo much to tell about our trip! So for weeks we've been planning to go to Paris during James' spring break, but we weren't able to get on the flight so we decided last min to go to Guatemala! It was amazing, we had the best time, it was warm and so beautiful!

James enjoying our first class breakfast on the plane.

Our Hostle in Antigua, it was soo cute, but even better 20 bucks a night including breakfast!

Packed in with 16 people on the trip to Attitlan, and a CRAZY driver.

Attitlan is the largest fresh water lake in Central America, its surrounded by 3 volcanos and a bunch of little villages.

All the women carried their things on their heads, it was so impressive so james asked if he could try.

This picture is taken while in the doorway of our hotel room. It was soooo pretty!

We took a boat across the lake to a Mayan village, it was pretty cool to see but made me realize how spoiled we are here! The people live with dirt floors, very little technology and they're only 4 ft tall! Their central market street was really cool, tons of old ladies selling flowers, corn, beans, avacado, and fruit. It was so colorful!

Our little Guatemalan friends we made, they brought us free tacos and horchata, and we let them play angry birds on the ipad... a fair trade!

Antigua was amazing, probably the cutest little city i've ever seen, there are churches everywhere and tons of bright colors. I loved all the old looks of the churches mixed in with modern colors and cobblestone roads.

The local landromat... i'm so grateful for my font loader!

We hiked up to the volcano in Pacaya, it was so cool. You could climb into these holes that were filled with hot steam from the magma under ground. Cool.

We also roasted marshmallows on the hot lava rock, the kids and i loved it. We gave out our marshmallows and made a lot of friends:)

We shopped around at the markets a lot, and did some good bargaining. Just when you think you're getting a good deal you walk down to the next shop to find the same thing half the price! ha ha, we made out pretty good though.
